If you are like me, you have a ton of broken costume jewelry laying around. A clasp breaks, you lose an earring (I swear they're like socks) or you just don't like a piece anymore. Instead of leaving those treasures in a mangled mess destined for the trash can, upcycle them!! Some tools to keep on hand are a pair of jewelry pliers or sturdy tweezers, some gem glue, some beading wire, and a little outside of the (jewelry) box thinking. For the necklace below I used a broken chain, a vintage wooden bead and some feathers. Upcycling clothing and jewelry is not difficult and you can have a one of a kind item to show off! I have a few of my vintage jewelry finds on Copious, please check out my listings:)
