TGIF! To round up this very productive week , I want to share with you my new favorite no sew DIY t shirt upcycling idea
: the chevron tee. Take one look at my modern vintage boutique
website background and you will see I LOVE the chevron fashion trend
and think it goes very well with the Civilian Style
name considering it comes from a military background, like me (believe it or not). But I digress....chevrons are obviously a huge fashion trend for 2013
and you can be thrifty and in-style by creating your own one of a kind chevron tee. This super easy DIY tutorial
will show you how to make a feminine women's one shoulder style with a painted chevron although this upcyling idea
could work for a men's or kid's shirt as well. Heck you could even use this chevron technique on a canvas tote or cute apron! I seriously want to put one on everything :) T shirt DIY projects
are so popular because just about everyone has a pile of t shirts lying around (maybe I will wear it as a nightgown?). Also, you can find vintage tees at thrift stores for a buck, and you can't beat a $1 makeover. Jersey t shirt fabric also performs well when left with a raw unhemmed edge, which makes upcycling
a breeze. Ok enough pep talk, check out this DIY tutorial
